Poet Taylor cherishes God, Bacon, and her "Village"- her beloved listeners and broader community. She's convinced that for every obstacle, there's a solution. Formerly of the "Joe Clair Morning Show," Poet now helms "Midday Shenanigans" from
10AM-2PM on WPGC - 95.5 FM in Washington, DC. Additionally, she's the DC Correspondent for "Dish Nation" on WTTG-Fox5, Monday to Friday. Off-air, she's deeply engaged with her community, championing causes close to her heart, especially supporting teens in the Foster Care System. Her own experience in the DC and Maryland State Foster Care Systems shaped her resilience and drive. She's a voice against city violence, body shaming, and more, also serving on Safe Shores DC's board and several other roles in community-focused campaigns. Her broadcasting journey began unexpectedly at WERQ-92Q FM in Baltimore, turning an internship into a co-hosting gig. This led her from DC to Florida with CBS Radio and eventually back to DC, taking roles from Executive Producer to Segment Producer. In 2017, Poet's career reached a pinnacle as Midday Host on WPGC
95.5FM and DC Correspondent for "Dish Nation." If determination had a face, it'd be Poet Taylor's.
